Long term strategies to decarbonise aviation

As with all sectors, aviation needs to decarbonise to ensure the Paris climate goals are reached.

John Broderick presented research by Alice Larkin and Michael Traut identifying the rates of change required at a workshop in Brussels, 23 January. Industry and policy makers explored what aircraft, engine and fuel technologies are available out to 2050, revolutionary technologies beyond that, and the measures needed to ensure these potential emissions reductions are realised.
