Local year 9 students hear about climate and energy from Dr Rachel Freeman

Dr Rachel Freeman gave a talk to around 100 year 9 students at Thornleigh Salesian College in Bolton, as part of an energy awareness week.
The talk covered how climate science research is carried out, why climate is important, the role of energy in climate change and what climate change mitigation involves. Students asked questions about the acceptance of climate science, what they can do personally, and the effects of climate change on food prices.
