Tyndall PhD researcher, Angela Mae Minas, presented at the ASEAN Youth Engagement Summit

The Summit was held in Manila, the Philippines on 20-23 February 2019.
Angela served as speaker for Energy and Environment. The Summit brought together more than 300 young leaders from Southeast Asia to discuss and think about potential solutions on pressing issues in the region.
Angela is also an Ambassador for One Young World, a global community of young leaders working to address global challenges and accelerate positive social impact. Angela talked about her work on rice straw bioenergy in the Philippines and Vietnam, and why farmers should be active participants in the development of this technology.
She also shared her insights on why doing research can be a ‘platform for change’.
