Making a Difference Awards - Tyndall receives recognition as it celebrates 25 years

The Tyndall Centre was awarded a special award at the prestigious Making a Difference Awards at the University of Manchester.

The Awards which celebrate the social and environmental impact of staff, students and alumni, took place in the Whitworth Hall on Thursday 8th May. Tyndall’s award recognises 25 years of the UK’s first interdisciplinary climate change research centre and celebrates the centre’s growth and important role in relation to impact and policy engagement.

Professor Carly McLachlan, Director of Tyndall Manchester in her speech said “it’s a beautiful team to work with and I feel lucky to go work with the Tyndall Team every day”. She added “It’s a challenging time to work on climate action… it’s important to reflect on how we’ve got here and what it means and what we are doing next”.
