The Sustainable Training Initiative for NetDRIVE (SusTraIN), with the participation of Dr Alejandro Gallego Schmid, brings together a strong interdisciplinary team across University of Manchester, University of Sheffield, University of Liverpool, and University of Edinburgh, in collaboration with the Software Sustainability Institute.

The project will develop practical training modules, tutorials, and FAIR resources to support environmentally sustainable computing across digital research infrastructures. By addressing the growing environmental impact of AI and data-intensive science, SusTraIN will equip researchers, research software engineers, and infrastructure providers with the tools and knowledge needed to reduce energy use and improve sustainability practices.
