Dr Alejandro Gallego Schmid recognised in Choiseul 100 Spain for contributions to the knowledge economy

Alejandro Gallego Schmid has been included in the Choiseul 100 Spain, an initiative that recognises 100 Spaniards for their contributions to the knowledge economy.

Dr Alejandro Gallego Schmid, Reader in Circular Economy and Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment at The University of Manchester and Tyndall Manchester researcher, has been included in the Choiseul 100 Spain.

The initiative by the Choiseul Institute recognises 100 Spaniards whose work and leadership contribute to the development of the knowledge economy and Spain’s future. The recognition reflects Alejandro’s work across circular economy, sustainability and life cycle assessment, as well as his growing focus on the environmental implications of artificial intelligence and digitalisation. His research combines environmental assessment with interdisciplinary collaboration and engagement with industry and policymakers to support more sustainable and circular systems in the UK and internationally.
